Job summary

Catalent’s flagship softgel development and manufacturing facility in St. Petersburg, FL, is hiring a Gel Prep Operator. This on-site role involves weighing, mixing, and preparing gelatin for encapsulation, following batch records and SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience in a GMP-regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift and lift up to 30 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Weighs and mixes raw materials to produce gelatin for encapsulation according to batch records.
• Prepares, blends, and mixes batches using blending equipment and completes batch paperwork in compliance with SOPs and cGMP.
• Completes documentation related to the gelatin process and updates SOPs as needed.
• Cleans, inspects, and sanitizes gelatin receivers and equipment; maintains a clean work area.
• Follows safety policies, handles non-hazardous, hazardous, and DEA waste.
• Notifies supervision of deviations from batch records or production issues.
• Participates in cross-training across production departments as needed.
