Job summary

Aequor is seeking an experienced electrical/automation engineering professional to lead design, validation and commissioning for pharmaceutical facilities. You will manage equipment, control systems, and capital projects while ensuring GMP and regulatory compliance across multiple departments.

The role requires 5+ years in pharma/biotech engineering with strong knowledge of sterile manufacturing processes and validation lifecycle documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field); Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech engineering and validation project management.
• Strong knowledge of sterile manufacturing processes (vials, PFS, IV bags).
• Familiarity with validation lifecycle documentation and execution.
• Experience with MS Project and Primavera for scheduling and project tracking.
• Experience with SAP systems for engineering and financial operations.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience with audit preparation, financial oversight, and CapEx processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, review and approve protocols for equipment and processes to meet guidelines.
• Maintain facility per cGMP and regulatory requirements; introduce new SOPs to improve safety and quality.
• Compile and maintain records of validation documentation and electrical schematics.
• Review Design, Installation, Operational and Product qualification of operations machinery.
• Coordinate procurement and installation for projects; track budgets and ROI for CapEx.
• Prepare revised layouts for plant/facility modifications.
• Provide technical expertise for electrical infrastructure, control systems, and automation.
• Oversee installation, commissioning and qualification of electrical systems including PLCs and HMIs.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with cGMP, FDA, NEC and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate change controls with other departments; manage day-to-day activities.
