Job summary

McKesson, a Fortune 10 healthcare leader, is seeking an Assistant Director, Operations to lead day-to-day distribution center operations in a high-volume, regulated pharmaceutical environment.

This role partners with the Director of Operations to drive safety, quality, service, productivity, compliance, labor and cost performance across a multi-shift site, building engaged teams and using data to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years of professional experience.
• 1+ year of supervisory/management experience.
• Experience leading teams in distribution/logistics.
• Experience using KPIs to manage performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-shift pharmaceutical distribution center operations.
• Oversee daily workflows, resource allocation, and service delivery.
• Coach and develop managers, supervise and frontline teams.
• Monitor KPIs and labor trends to drive improvements.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, OSHA and related regulations.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT and others to resolve issues.
• Support labor relations and workforce planning.
• Present updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
