Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead owner-side oversight across complex pharmaceutical facilities. You will coordinate EPC contractors, construction managers, and vendors to verify progress against schedules and drawings, ensuring safety and quality across multidisciplinary scopes.

With a background in GMP construction and experience in large-scale projects, you will drive commissioning readiness, turnover, and successful project outcomes for multi-building

Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale pharmaceutical/industrial construction projects.
• Familiarity with GMP documentation and commissioning.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary scopes and prime contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead owner-side construction oversight across active work areas.
• Coordinate EPC contractors, construction managers, trade contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers.
• Monitor field progress against the integrated schedule and construction sequence.
• Verify construction against drawings, specifications, contracts, quality requirements, and safety standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary scopes (civil, structural, architectural, process, mechanical, piping, HVAC, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and utilities).
• Identify scope gaps, conflicts, access constraints, and sequencing issues.
• Review look-ahead schedules, manpower, productivity, materials, work packages, and field constraints.
• Support constructability, modularization, prefabrication, work packaging, and site logistics.
• Track RFIs, submittals, field changes, nonconformance reports, and corrective actions.
• Verify contractor-reported progress.
• Monitor inspections, testing, quality records, and turnover documentation.
• Track turnover and pre-commissioning readiness.
• Coordinate turnover with CQV, Technical, Quality, Automation, and Operations.
• Review contractor recovery plans and corrective actions.
• Support tie-ins, energization, equipment setting, and startup.
