Evercore’s NYC-based equity research associate role covers pharmaceuticals and biotech on a top-ranked team. The position offers exposure to big pharma and small biotechs, with opportunities to learn a broad set of skills and interact with investors and industry executives.

The team is small and collaborative, valuing curiosity and self-drive. There is an explicit expectation of a positive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry or similar natural sciences.
• Experience in biopharma industry.
• Ability to dissect clinical data and primary scientific literature.
• Comfortable with investment banking hours (late nights and weekends).
• Basic understanding of financial modeling.
• Industry experience and/or finance license/degree a plus.
• Strong desire to learn.
• Ability to ramp up on new therapeutic areas quickly.
• Public speaking and professional relationships.
• Patent law.
