Job summary

AVS Bio in Roanoke, IL seeks an experienced Electrician to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in pharmaceutical facilities and SPF poultry operations. You will read blueprints, locate faults, repair wiring and machinery, and calibrate equipment to ensure safe operation.

Three to five years of relevant experience and a valid electrician license are preferred. The role includes on-call shifts, coordination with several departments, and adherence to biosecurity protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with specialized maintenance training.
• Three to five years of experience; relay knowledge a plus.
• Valid electrician license where required by state; apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and replace electrical materials and equipment per blueprints and specs.
• Inspect and repair lighting, wiring, and machinery; calculate loads as needed.
• Calibrate equipment; supervise electrical tasks performed by others when required.
• Coordinate maintenance with other departments; maintain records and safety checks.
• Provide on-call maintenance coverage; respond to emergencies.
