Job summary

Guerbet is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop, install and support automated systems in our Raleigh imaging site. You will work with project engineers and operations to ensure maximum utility and total cost of ownership while following cGMP practices.

This role is second shift and hands-on, with minimal supervision. You will program PLCs/SCADA/HMI, review electrical drawings, manage medium-to-large automation projects, and contribute to continuous improvement and operational

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field; 3–5 years in automation
• Experience programming, maintaining, troubleshooting distributed control systems
• Experience with pharmaceutical or regulated industrial environments
• Ability to read P&IDs and control schematics
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, install and support automated systems in manufacturing
• Program and troubleshoot distributed control systems, PLCs, SCADA, HMIs
• Develop and review electrical drawings; support plant processes
• Maintain historical production data per cGMPs; ensure safety compliance
• Manage automation projects within scope, schedule and budget
• Prepare Change Requests and CAPAs; support project documentation
