Job summary

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for an on-site opportunity in Illinois. The role pays $20.00 to $21.00 per hour and is a contract to hire position with a Monday–Friday schedule and rotating weekend hours.

Responsibilities include picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring regulatory compliance including HIPAA. Prior pharmacy tech experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work at a moderate pace.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift.

• Pick, label, scan, and prepare prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist.
• Fill daily medication orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.
• Process returned medications and handle recycling or disposal according to procedures.
• Prepack frequently ordered medications, apply labels, and store products as needed.
• Package medications and other materials manually.
• Pull medications from shelving and designated storage areas.
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy.
• Notify the pharmacist of any medications or products that do not scan properly.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and replenish supplies.
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Comply with departmental safety, attendance, and dress code policies.
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $20.00 to $ 21.00/hour

Type: Contract to Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 PM – 3:00 AM

Every other weekend, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
