Job summary

FedEx Group in Kalispell, MT is seeking a part-time Package Handler to support daily logistics operations. You will sort packages, operate handheld scanners, and assist with unloading and loading shipments in a fast-paced team environment.

No formal education is required, but a valid driver’s license and a current DOT file are expected. Prior experience is not required, though up to six months of related work is welcomed, and safety procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Six months of experience as a package handler or switching/CDL operator preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow instruction regarding work duties and safety methods.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly.
• Ability to use basic tools and equipment such as skate wheel rollers, dock carts, hand-held scanners, chutes and unloading devices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.

• Sort and route packages to proper destinations.
• Operate handheld scanners and basic sorting equipment.
