Qualifications

As a PH Registered Nurse within the Hall County Health Department. At the District Two, Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. District 2 Public Health serves 13 counties in northeast Georgia, including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White counties. Job Responsibilities

PH RN 1:

Under supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures

PH RN 2:

Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures. Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury or disability, the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations. Cares for population with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols.

Additional Duties:

• Knows vaccine schedules for children and adults
• Gives correct needed vaccines to children and adults
• Gives vaccines needed for school attendance along with correct certifications
• Conducts audits for school and day cares
• Conducts scoliosis screenings for schools
• Conducts hearing/vision/dental screenings needed for school attendance
• Cross-trains to TB, Child Health, Family Planning and IDC clinics
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

PH RN 1:

Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification. Note: No experience required.

PH RN 2:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND Current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR Associate's degree/diploma in Nursing from an accredited college AND One year of PHN experience AND Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
