As a Cake Decorator, you'll apply proper decorating techniques and maintain product quality by following guidelines. You'll prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products daily, while adhering to all department and food safety / sanitation standards.

Qualifications

Work Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Provide superior customer service
• Take cake orders accurately via phone or in person
• Assist customers with product questions and selections
• Use suggestive selling to meet customer needs and increase sales

Production

• Apply decorating techniques per visual training aids (VTAs)
• Write on cakes with icing upon request
• Follow daily production list and ensure quality control
• Ensure timely presentation of products on the sales floor

Food Service

• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products effectively
• Slice, package, label, and rotate products
• Record production and shrink for planning

Food Safety

• Maintain sanitation in work areas
• Comply with food safety and sanitation standards
• Follow department and store procedures
• Operate and maintain equipment properly

Minimum Background Requirements

• Minimum age 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience
• Complete company orientation, safety, and eCommerce training upon hire
