SHIFT: 12-hour Rotating Shift

Summary:

The IGIV-C Technician is responsible for the isolation of IgG by processing plasma intermediate paste and performing fundamental tasks within a GMP environment, including cleaning and maintaining the workplace, assembling and disassembling operating equipment per applicable procedures, assisting with process control manipulations, and maintaining records/logs in accordance with current standard procedures.

TECH I Responsibilities:
  • Performs general housekeeping in compliance with the high standards required of a pharmaceutical operation.
  • Assists in the preparation of solutions and dispenses cleaning/sanitization reagents.
  • Demonstrates care and safety to safeguard facilities, equipment, product, and co-workers.
  • Assembles and disassembles production equipment.
  • Operates production equipment and forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Operates CIP circuits and monitors processes using DCS.
  • Documents production activities and performs integrity tests on sterile filters.
Additional Responsibilities:

Includes buffer preparation, zone activities, sterile processing, purification processing, and knowledge of equipment and systems. Basic math, computer skills, mechanical aptitude, detail orientation, teamwork, and good judgment are required.

Education:

High School Diploma; Bioworks Certification preferred.

TECH II Responsibilities:
  • Performs duties at IGIV-C Technician level and conducts GMP and safety audits.
  • Prepares and operates production equipment, troubleshoots processes and equipment.
Additional Responsibilities:

Includes buffer preparation, zone activities, sterile processing, column processing, UF/DF processing, and testing. Knowledge of systems and calibration of probes required.

Occupational Demands:

Must lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk continuously, work rotating shifts, and be vaccinated for hepatitis B. Exposure to biological fluids, chemicals, machinery, noise, cold, confined spaces, heights, and personal protective equipment is expected.

Note:

Work involves standing, walking, bending, sitting, and manual handling. Good communication skills are essential. Routine tasks follow written or oral instructions.
