Position Description

The Department of Computational Applied Mathematics and OperationsResearch at Rice University in Houston, Texas, invites applicationsfor a full-time Pfeiffer Postdoctoral Instructor position. Theinitial appointment will be for two academic years and may berenewed for a third year. The term of appointment will begin onJuly 1, 2027. Pfeiffer Postdoctoral Instructors will teach undergraduate lecturecourses each semester and conduct research in collaboration with afaculty mentor. The Pfeiffer Postdoctoral Instructor positionhonors Professor Paul Pfeiffer (1917-2012), a founding member ofthe Department of Computational Applied Mathematics and OperationsResearch (CMOR). Candidates are expected to pursue research thataligns with the department’s research programs, withinterdisciplinary research and collaboration stronglyencouraged.
