The Department of Bioengineering at Rice University, located inHouston, TX, seeks applications for a tenure-track AssistantProfessor position with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027.The Department of Bioengineering, a Top 10 ranked department by USNews & World Report, is located in the BioScience ResearchCollaborative building, adjacent to the Texas Medical Center, thelargest medical center in the world. We encourage candidates in thefollowing areas to apply: cancer bioengineering, immunoengineeringand immunotherapy, neuroengineering, bioprinting andbiomanufacturing, mechanobiology, and studies of disease anddisease mechanisms. However, candidates from all areas ofbioengineering will be considered. Outstanding candidates at higherranks (Associate Professor or Full Professor) may also beconsidered.

The selected candidate will be expected to teach and developundergraduate and graduate courses within their expertise; performhigh-quality research in their specialized area and presentfindings from their research in peer-reviewed publications andconferences; establish a strong research program supported byextramural funding; be involved in service to the university andbroader scientific community; and collaborate with faculty indiverse disciplines. The successful candidate will be required tohave a strong commitment to teaching, advising, and mentoringundergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds.
