Job summary

ALS Middletown PFAS laboratory is seeking a detail-oriented technician to perform extractions using EPA methods and prepare samples for analysis. You will also prepare reagents, wash glassware, and ensure safe working conditions while maintaining accurate records.

You will load LCMS equipment, follow SOPs, and contribute to a compliant, efficient PFAS analysis workflow in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work off shift may be required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in EPA methods and sample preparation for PFAS analysis.
• Experience with LCMS instrumentation and data interpretation.
• Strong recordkeeping and compliance with SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Perform extractions using EPA methods in ALS Middletown PFAS lab.
• Prepare samples and reagents for analysis.
• Load LCMS equipment for analysis and ensure traceability.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and proper glassware washing.
• Document results and follow SOPs for safety.
• Opportunities to work off shift if required.

Job description

• Perform extractions using various EPA methods and general tasks within ALS Middletown’s PFAS laboratory
• Prepare samples for analysis using various EPA Methods in accordance with ALS standard operating procedures
• Prepare reagents for use in sample preparation process
• Responsible to safely and properly wash scientific glassware
• Recognize and maintain safe working conditions
• Use appropriate safety equipment
• Perform recordkeeping as required to ensure adequate documentation and traceability
• Maintain a clean, orderly work environment
• Will load LCMS equipment for analysis
• Other duties as assigned
• Ability to work off shift.
