Job summary

De Nora is seeking an Environmental Analytical Chemist – PFAS to lead the development and operation of an environmental analytical laboratory focused on PFAS analyses. You will handle sample preparation, LC‑MS/MS analysis, method development, data review, and QC, while training staff and maintaining procedures.

The role emphasizes PFAS experience, including SPE, isotope dilution, and method validation, with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to improve workflow accuracy and turnaround

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in analytical chemistry or closely related field.
• At least 5 years of analytical lab experience, including environmental work.
• At least 3 years operating LC‑MS/MS instrumentation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with PFAS sample prep, extraction, and preconcentration techniques.
• Knowledge of chromatography, mass spectrometry, isotope dilution, and matrix effects.
• Strong QA/QC understanding and ability to review data for method compliance.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform PFAS analysis of environmental samples (drinking water, groundwater, wastewater, soils).
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot LC‑MS/MS and related equipment.
• Oversee SPE and sample preparation workflows.
• Review chromatography data, calibration performance, and QC results.
• Lead method development, validation, and transfer activities.
• Support instrument installation, startup, and qualification.
• Train personnel in sample prep, instrument use, and safety.
