Job summary

Pace seeks an entry-level PFAS Scientist to join our Mansfield, MA laboratory on-site. You will perform hands-on PFAS analyses and contribute to high-quality environmental data used for safeguarding communities.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a STEM field, with training provided as needed. You will work in a safety-conscious lab, handling PPE and odor exposure as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or STEM or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment with PPE and in the presence of odors.
• Willingness to receive training and develop PFAS analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with analytical instruments to analyze environmental samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods looking for environmental contaminants.
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality, organized laboratory records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
