Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a dynamic PFASs Forensics Discipline Leader to oversee, strengthen, and expand our PFASs technical services for clients domestically and internationally. This role applies deep PFAS chemistry expertise and forensic analytics to maintain quality and differentiate CDM Smith with cutting-edge capabilities.

The leader will collaborate with project managers, researchers, and marketing to advance PFAS solutions, oversee AI-assisted characterization, and drive business development

Qualifications

  • PhD in PFASs forensics.
  • 5+ years of PFASs forensics experience.
  • Deep understanding of PFAS chemistry, uses, fate and transport, and precursor transformation.
  • History of PFAS forensic tools application in commercial projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee PFASs forensic services and identify PFASs to support source allocation.
  • Advise on PFASs detection methods and analytics to strengthen CDM Smith’s PFAS forensics.
  • Support technical sales, client engagement, project delivery, and proposals.
  • Lead or support R&D on PFAS characterization and analytical methods.
  • Oversee AI tools used for PFAS characterization.
  • Mentor junior staff and promote professional growth.
  • Develop marketing materials such as fact sheets and project descriptions.
