Petroleum Lighting Salesperson

Location: Remote – Anywhere in the United States
Travel: Some travel to customer sites required

About the Role

We are seeking a results-driven Petroleum Lighting Salesperson to expand our presence in the retail petroleum and convenience store market. This role focuses on selling LED lighting and lighting control solutions for gas station canopies, c-stores, and related facilities. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional who understands the unique needs of the petroleum industry and thrives on building long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with petroleum jobbers, distributors, contractors, and end-users in the retail fuel market.

  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, presenting, quoting, closing, and post-sale support.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and explain technical features and benefits to customers.

  • Travel to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events as needed to develop relationships and close sales.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, marketing) to ensure customer needs are met.

  • Maintain accurate customer data, opportunities, and pipeline management within the company’s CRM/ERP system.

  • Achieve or exceed sales goals while representing the company with professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in LED lighting, electrical products, or the petroleum/convenience store industry.

  • Strong understanding of B2B sales with contractors, ESCOs, jobbers, and distributors.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote role.

  • Ability to travel regionally/nationally to meet with customers.

  • Proficiency with CRM or ERP sales management tools.
