Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in construction, preferably in HVAC or Plumbing.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Install fuel storage systems at various locations, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Travel extensively to job sites, working outdoors in varying conditions.

Job description

The Petroleum Installer is responsible for the installation of above and below ground fuel storage and dispensing systems at various facilities such as military and industrial sites and other locations that require petroleum storage and distribution. Duties include ensuring that all installations comply with industry regulations and safety standards. You will get to travel all over learning a niche industry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and install fuel storage sites using hand and power tools
  • Individual may possess knowledge and experience in supporting fuel system projects
  • Load and unload materials and equipment
  • Follow instructions from supervisors while implementing plans
  • Operates various power tools, skid loader, excavator
  • Adhere to industry safety standards and regulations regarding petroleum storage
  • Travel 95% to job sites out of town (home weekends)
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of petroleum systems, plumbing/pipefitting desired
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. continuously
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED education is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction field, preferably HVAC, Plumbing/Pipefitting or Fuels
  • A valid Driver’s License is required
  • Government Security Clearance Required
  • Prior experience working in the construction field
