Job description

JOB OVERVIEW

ProSidian seeks a Petroleum Engineer in Technical Due Diligence & Engineering Validation for upstream oil and gas (exploration/production) to support program support on an exempt 1099 contract. Remote (within USA – On‑Site meetings expected) in the CONUS with location in Washington, DC / Nationwide. The role is aligned with GSA Labor Category: Senior Consultant.

RESONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Provide independent engineering advisory services for the Energy Dominance Financing Program, focusing on reservoir performance, reserves, production forecasting, and field development. Review project documentation, evaluate technical and commercial interfaces, identify risks and mitigations, validate assumptions, support lender and DOE decision‑making, and prepare defensible work products such as reserve estimates, decline curves, production models, field development plans, and recovery factor analyses. Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory experience; demonstrated work on oil and gas, power, utilities, or large‑scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geoscience, petroleum engineering, mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, environmental, or related technical field. PE, PMP, CSP, API, NACE/AMPP, PMI, or discipline‑specific credentials preferred.
SKILLS REQUIRED

Independent engineering review; DOE Loan Programs Office style documentation discipline; technical due diligence; risk assessment; reservoir performance, reserves, production forecasts, and field development; data room review; information request tracking; report writing; Excel‑based analysis; stakeholder coordination; clear presentation of findings for credit, construction, monitoring, and certification decisions.
