Job summary

Hmixray in Escondido, California is seeking a PET Technologist to operate PET scanners, produce diagnostic images, and support radiologists in procedures. You will guide patients, monitor well‑being, and ensure safe handling of medications and PHI in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The role requires ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with a State Nuclear Medicine License, venipuncture, and BLS certification, with at least one year of imaging experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.
• Venipuncture certification/permit.
• BLS certification.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate PET scanners and related equipment following radiation safety procedures and company protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images with excellent patient care.
• Assist radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast as needed.
• Guide patients through the exam steps and answer questions.
• Monitor patient well‑being during exams and respond to discomfort or issues.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient health information and on-site medications.
• Demonstrate professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during interactions.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
