Job description

Description


Utilizes radiopharmaceuticals as well as oral and IV contrast agents to perform a variety of diagnostic PET, PET/CT and CT examinations. Utilizes a multi-slice CT scanner and power injector. Starts IVs and administers various contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals at the direction of the physician. Provides patient care services as needed in a professional, compassionate manner. Participates in all daily duties necessary to perform high-quality care and imaging exams. Provides exemplary customer service. Participates in and is engaged in a team framework and maintains a positive approach and attitude. Assumes responsibility for designated duties or procedures as required and adheres to all safety standards with regard to SMC policies and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:



  • Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program.

  • Washington Radiologic Technologist upon hire.

  • National Positron Emission Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire, Or

  • National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology upon hire, Or

  • National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire, Or

  • National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography upon hire, Or

  • National Computed Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire.

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Coursework/Training: Additional CT training.

  • 1 year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

  • Previous CT experience.
