Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide expert-level grooming services to our customers’ pets. You will bathe, dry, brush, trim and style coats, trim nails, clean ears, and maintain a safe grooming environment.

This role emphasizes customer service, knowledge of breed standards, and the ability to train or mentor junior staff as needed. Weekend, evening, and holiday shifts are required; state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments such as clippers, blades, shears, brushes, and dryers.
• Prioritize the safety, comfort, and well-being of pets and maintain high customer service standards.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide grooming recommendations and home care guidance.

Education

Pet Stylist Apprentice program / professional groomer training
