Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide expert grooming services for customers' pets in our grooming salon. You will showcase grooming skills with attention to detail, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best and delivers a high level of customer satisfaction.

We offer competitive base pay, a $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days, and a $1,000 retention bonus after one year of consecutive employment, along with medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off, and pet discounts.

Qualifications

• Perform professional grooming: bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, nails.
• Prioritize pet safety and comfort during grooming sessions.
• Provide excellent customer service and guidance to pet parents.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services per pet parent instructions.
• Operate and maintain grooming equipment (clippers, blades, dryers, etc.).
• Prioritize animal well-being and safety and report concerns to management.
• Assess each pet's needs considering coat type and temperament.
• Educate owners on grooming maintenance and at-home care.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized grooming area adhering to policies.
• Adhere to grooming policies to ensure safety and quality.
• Assist in training and supervising entry-level trainees when needed.
