Pet Paradise is looking for a Professional, Friendly, and Motivated Pet Stylist/Groomer to join our team!

Shift Schedule: Flexible Scheduling

Rate of Pay: 50% Commission, $500 sign on bonus

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF OUR PET STYLIST/GROOMER INCLUDE:

1. Providing customer service in the form of consultations and explanation of services available/rendered with explanation of costs
2. Ability and stamina to cut several ‘guests’ a day
3. Checking for parasites, lumps, bumps, or cuts prior to bathing
4. Cleaning and plucking ears, trimming nails, expressing anal glands
5. Bathing ‘guests’ in proper shampoo and conditioner; dematting, brushing, and fluff drying
6. Performing all general maintenance of grooming room; cleaning cages, tubs, tables; vacuuming floors and mopping; cleaning clipper blades, scissors, and brushes after use
7. Working inside in a heated with high humidity area, with loud background noise from the dryers
8. One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. For individuals with less than one year of Grooming experience, there may be further discussions regarding completion of parts of our Grooming Training Program through the Paragon School.
9. Customer service oriented and excellent verbal communication skills
10. Must be familiar with standard cuts for all breeds and be able to handle a variety of sizes of canines and felines safely and comfortably
11. Great work ethic, organized, reliable, and a team player
12. Must maintain a clean and healthy environment for ‘guests’
13. Flexibility to resort schedule needs including days, night, weekends, holidays, and peak times
