Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. in West Orange, NJ is seeking a Key Holder to support store leadership, open and close the store, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for pets, partners, and customers.

You will supervise partners, deliver friendly service, train new teammates, maintain merchandising standards, and process transactions accurately while upholding Petco's animal care and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience required; key holder or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash and transactions.
• Reliable, responsible, and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the floor and supervise partners to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Open and close the store and act as point of contact when management is absent.
• Provide training and reinforce best practices for new partners.
• Maintain merchandising standards and ensure a clean, organized store environment.
• Handle transactions efficiently and accurately, including refunds and exchanges.
• Support sales initiatives and promotions to help achieve store goals.
