Job summary

Passionately Pets in Alexandria, VA is seeking friendly pet sitters and dog walkers to join our team. Set your own hours and earn supplemental income by visiting clients' homes to care for dogs, cats and other companion animals.

You'll walk, feed, provide water, and keep homes safe, clean up accidents, and report to management. Must have reliable transportation and a smartphone; ability to pass background check and commit to at least 6 months. This part-time role pays $24–$28 per hour plus tips.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Visit clients' homes on assigned days and care for pets.
• Act as primary caregiver during owner absence.
• Walk dogs and feed pets as requested.
• Provide water, clean litterboxes or cages as needed.
• Check for accidents, clean up, and report to management.
• Communicate any issues or updates to the team.

Passionately Pets, a local In-Home Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Company, is currently hiring exceptional pet sitters anddog walkersto join our wonderfulteam. This position isfun and rewarding as you get to enjoy the outdoors, get exercise and be loved by amazing local dogs, cats and other companion animals!

Pet SitterResponsibilities:

• Workweekdays, weekends and holidays, as visits vary based on client needs
• Enterthe homes of clients and visit with their pets for varying lengths of time (usually 15- 30 minutes each)
• Act as primary care givers for pets while their owners are away
• Walk pets as requested
• Feedpets as requested
• Provide appropriate litterbox and/or cage clean up as required
• Check that pets have ample, clean water supply and refill as necessary
• Patrol homes for accidents ordamage caused by pets in the absence of their owners
• Clean any accidents or damage discovered in homes of our clients
• Communicate with Management

Pet Sitter Requirements and Qualifications:

• NorthernVA residence within 5 miles of 22301 is preferred
• Must have your own, reliable mode of transportation to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with this role
• Must have your own reliable Smart Phone with internet access and data plan
• Must be extremely detail oriented
• Able to follow detailed instructions
• Must be responsible, reliable, and dependable
• Must be timely and punctual
• Must beable toself-manage
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be compassionate about animals
• Must feel comfortable working withand interacting with both small and large animals
• Must be willing to walk and drive in all weather conditions
• Must be able to make at least a 6month commitment, however longer is preferred
• Must be able to passcriminalbackground check

Set your own hours, while staying active. Compensation is $24-28/hour plus tips, paid on a per visit basis.

Visits are performed in Del Ray, Old Town Alexandria, West End: Duke Street Corridor and South Arlington: Shirlington, Fairlington, National Landing, Columbia Pike.
