As You Wish is an established and well-loved company in the Denver suburbs. This is a wonderful opportunity for former nurses, vet techs, and dog trainers! Work with animals and amazing clients as you build your team.

Our Pet Sitters Must Be:

• A highly motivated, friendly, energetic self-starter
• Residing within the service area of Parker or within 5 miles of that area
• Over 21 years of age
• Willing to own your business and enjoy the flexibility and benefits, with support and training from As You Wish - Compensation is on a per job/per team member basis
• Aware of a dog's round-the-clock needs: this isn't a 9-5 job, dogs need round-the-clock care
• Polished and professional
• Flexible, with open availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, as stays vary based on client needs
• Able to provide all of our service types including day pet sits, overnights, late-night visits, and mid-day visits
• Willing to help assemble an equally dynamic team to work with you

Pet Sitter - Requirements and Qualifications

• Possess exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients of various backgrounds
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Driven and dynamic - slackers need not apply!
• Own reliable transportation to perform duties
• Responsible, reliable, and dependable
• Efficient time management skills
• Self-manage effectively
• Have supplemental income while building your territory
• Ability to meet financial goals and milestones
• Comfortable discussing your services and yourself with others
• Compassionate about animals
• Comfortable working with all types of pets
• Pass criminal background check
• Own a car, auto insurance, and maintain a clean MVR
• Ability to take detailed notes and communicate effectively in written and oral forms
• Ability to market your business through activities like farmers' markets and events (mostly on weekends)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Physical Demands

Activity Level: High – Walk, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, handle, hear, and see. Be able to walk up to 10 miles daily. Occasional lifting up to 35 lbs. (lifting dogs into/out of vehicles or onto beds)

Environment: Outdoors for 75% of the time

Educational Requirements

• Completion of recognized Hands-On Pet First Aid/CPR training course
• Ongoing training in animal behavior, professional certification courses, or attendance at the annual NAPPS Forum encouraged
