Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for the PET Scan Unit. The role is full-time with 10-hour day shifts, supporting diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclide-based procedures across pediatric to geriatric patients.

Under supervision, the technologist will perform procedures, ensure quality control, and collaborate with radiologists and physicians. Strong certification credentials and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a program in nuclear medicine technology approved by the AMA Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation.
• National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclide-based procedures for patients of all ages in accordance with department and regulatory standards.
• Participates in quality control and organizational improvement activities.
• Serves as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff.
• Participates in the call schedule to meet staffing needs of the department.

Education
