K9 Resorts of Wayne is hiring a Pet Care Technician to join our passionate team caring for dogs in daycare and boarding. You will help maintain clean, safe accommodations, provide baths, and supervise playtime while delivering exceptional customer service.

Applicants should love dogs, be able to lift 20 lbs, and work weekends and holidays. This is a full-time role with growth opportunities in a family-owned, award-winning facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation of accommodations and outdoor areas.
• Perform body checks for pre-existing conditions or injuries.
• Stand and work on your feet for 8+ hours.
• Assist management with tasks such as transporting dogs, providing playtimes, and outdoor breaks.

Role: Pet Care Technician

As a Pet Care Technician at K9 Resorts of Wayne, you will be at the heart of our commitment to cleanliness and compassionate care. This role involves spending ample time with our furry friends, ensuring their well-being and happiness. If you love dogs and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, this is the perfect job for you. Daily tasks include cleaning accommodations, giving baths, and managing doggie daycare. Strong communication and observation skills, along with a keen eye for detail, are essential.

Pet Care Technician Responsibilities

• Achieve the mission and goals of K9 Resorts.
• Ensure all guests are cared for in compliance with company standards.
• Oversee the health, safety and well-being of dogs in daycare and boarding.
• Maintain the sanitation of all accommodations and outdoor areas.
• Perform body checks to identify pre-existing conditions and/or injuries.
• Work on your feet for 8 hours or more.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by management, including:
• Running dogs from daycare or boarding to customers.
• Providing personal playtimes for dogs.
• Taking dogs outside for elimination breaks.

Pet Care Technician Qualifications

• Ability to lift at least 20 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Weekend and holiday hours are required.
• A “Can-Do” attitude with an outgoing, positive, and enthusiastic personality.
• Demonstrate a love for dogs.
