The ideal candidate holds active state licensure (Nuclear Medicine/General Radiography) with NMTCB and/or ARRT credentials preferred, and has 1 year of PET/CT experience or is a recent graduate eligible for registry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year PET/CT Technologist experience preferred.
• State CRT license and NMTCB license required; ARRT preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Eligible to sit for registry within 6 months if recent graduate.

Responsibilities

• Perform PET/CT imaging procedures as prescribed by physicians.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals per physician prescriptions.
• Maintain radiation safety, calibration and quality control for imaging equipment.
• Assist with clinic operations and cross-location support as needed.
• Participate in training of new staff and compliance with regulations.

Location:The Center for Cancer & Blood DisordersPay Range:$35.38 - $51.32Position SummaryAdminister radiopharmaceuticals or radiation to patients to detect diseases, using radiation producing and detective equipment, under direction of physician ensuring viable images are obtained.Demonstrates working knowledge of all facets of role, relevant regulations, and organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Performs all duties in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures.Key Performance AreasKPA 1 - Nuclear Medicine Imaging & Radiopharmaceutical AdministrationPrepare, calculate, administer, measure, and record radiopharmaceutical dosages in accordance with physician prescriptions; perform diagnostic imaging procedures and produce accurate images for physician interpretation.KPA 2 - Radiation Safety, Compliance & Quality ControlEnsure safe handling, storage, calibration, and disposal of radioactive materials; maintain imaging and laboratory equipment; comply with all federal, state, and organizational safety regulations and quality standards.KPA 3 - Patient Care, Education & SafetyExplain procedures and safety precautions to patients, provide assistance during examinations, protect patient rights, and maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and applicable regulations.KPA 4 - Regulatory Compliance & Professional CredentialingMaintain active state licensure in Nuclear Medicine and General Radiography; meet continuing education requirements; adhere to all federal, state, and organizational policies related to patient care, billing, IT, and disaster recovery.KPA 5 - Operational Support & Team CollaborationMaintain a safe, organized work environment; assist with training new employees; support clinic operations by working across locations and overtime as needed to meet business demands.Position QualificationsEducationHigh school education required.Minimum Relevant Experience1 year of experience as PET Technologist preferredCertifications/LicensesState CRT, Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) license.ARRT Certification preferred.BLS certification required.Previous Experience:Minimum of one (1) year active experience as a PET/CT Technologist is required. Will consider recent graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program that is eligible to sit for their registry. Must pass Nuclear Medicine or PET Registry exam within 6 months of hire if recent graduate.Travel: 0-25%
