Job summary

Shields Health Care seeks a PET technologist to provide a professional, patient-centered environment in a fast-paced nuclear medicine setting. You will operate PET equipment, ensure patient safety, and communicate clearly about procedures.

The role requires an active state license, CPR certification, and ARRT/NMTCB registration, with at least 1 year of nuclear medicine experience, including IV starts. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year nuclear medicine experience.
• Proficient in starting IVs.
• Must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes.
• Follow Shields Health Care policies and regulatory requirements for patient safety.
• Inform patients about their exam and ensure comfort and safety.
• Record patient data in the Tech Data Entry program and provide films when appropriate.
• Forward PET data to Radiologist after exam and refilm cases if time allows.
