OhioHealth in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to operate imaging devices, dose calibrators, and associated radiopharmaceuticals in the PET CT department. You will perform scintigraphic scans, image processing, quality control, and patient care under physician supervision.

The role requires an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program, NMTCB CNMT or ARRT NM certification, and BLS. The department emphasizes safety and high reliability in daily practice.

Formación

• Graduate of approved training program in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Registered with NMTCB as CNMT or with ARRT in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• ODH Radiologic License as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• BLS Certification.
• Familiarity with all aspects of a fully-equipped Nuclear Medicine department.

Responsabilidades

• Operates imaging devices, computers, ECG units, laboratory equipment, dose calibrator, and radiation survey instruments.
• Performs scintigraphic scanning as prescribed by physician.
• Performs image manipulation and quantitative studies; archives patient studies on computer and quality control studies.
• Receives, stores, and prepares radioactive and non-radioactive materials for patient doses; ensures availability of proper doses.
• Performs quality control and maintenance procedures for scanning and equipment.
• Consults with physicians; shows images and data to radiologist/cardiologist; provides quality data for interpretation.
• Administers radiopharmaceuticals within scope of practice under physician direction.
• Demonstrates sensitivity to patient needs and provides education, assessment, monitoring, and overall patient care.
• As an HRO, focus on safety, quality, and efficiency; duties may change.

Associate's Degree (Required)

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association

CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist

NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
