Qualifications

• Graduate of approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Registered CNMT or ARRT in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• BLS certification and familiarity with nuclear materials.
• Extensive knowledge of handling radioactive materials and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Operates scintigraphic scanning, image manipulation, and quantitative studies.
• Prepares, stores, and ensures availability of patient doses.
• Performs quality control and maintains equipment for quality examinations.
• Consults with physicians and provides data for interpretation.
• Assists with radiopharmaceutical administration under physician direction.
• Demonstrates patient-centered care and education.
