Job summary

All The Best Pet Care is seeking a Pet Care Specialist in Seattle to provide exceptional customer service, greet every guest, and help shoppers with dog and cat nutrition and product information. You will handle POS transactions and support store operations to ensure a smooth, friendly shopping experience.

This role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. A high school diploma or GED and basic computer skills are expected; experience with pet products is a plus.

Job DescriptionPET CARE SPECIALISTStatus: Non-exempt (Hourly)A Pet Care Specialist is a key team member who assists in meeting or exceeding sales goals by means of impeccable customer service and excellent store operations.Essential Job Functions:Customer Service Responsibilities:Provide a helpful customer-friendly environmentGreet each customer and “celebrate” any dog that comes inInteract with customers to assess their needs and desires. Interaction with customers should be professional and appropriate. Discussions should be focused on nutrition, animal care and product information. Personal conversations should be avoidedEducate customers about products and offer suggestions to meet their needsProcess sales transactions accurately at POS registers and online ordersProduct Knowledge and Education Responsibilities:Demonstrate comprehension and completion of all JRCsParticipate in scheduled classroom trainingsRead Product Training Sheets and complete associated quizzesKnow relevant features and benefits of current food brands and categoriesDemonstrate comprehension of basic cat and dog physiology and nutritionCommunicate information consistent with the All The Best philosophyUtilize knowledge of products and pet nutrition to make recommendationsTeam Member Responsibilities:Work well with others to achieve sales and operational goals and objectivesTake initiative to perform tasks that need to be done at slow times during the dayFollows directions from leadershipSupport other team members as neededHave a positive attitude and is willing and able to work at other stores and send help to stores as needed.
