Job Summary

PetSmart’s Pet Stylist in Training is responsible for engaging with pet parents and their pets while providing positive experiences and salon services. This role receives training from experienced professionals and involves upholding company standards, store cleanliness, and pet safety.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services under supervision, including baths, trims, nail and teeth care, and sanitary services.
• Develop technical skills and recommend health and wellness solutions to pet parents.
• Ensure positive pet parent experiences, handle inquiries, and manage appointments.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the grooming area.
• Assist in other store departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of PetSmart’s Salon Academy training and safety certification.
• Prior grooming experience preferred; technical exam may be required.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Ability to work under pressure, flexible schedule, strong communication skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, exposure to pet hair and noise, handling live animals.
