Job summary

Petco seeks a dedicated Pet Stylist to deliver expert grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, cuts, nails, and ear cleaning, while ensuring pet safety and comfort. You will educate pet parents, maintain hygiene, and uphold Petco’s grooming standards in a fast-paced salon environment.

As part of the Grooming Salon team, you’ll use state-of-the-art equipment and collaborate with leaders to provide exceptional care, growth opportunities, and a positive customer experience in-store.

Qualifications

• Completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco or prior professional grooming experience.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to problem-solve with guidance from leadership when needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high grooming standards.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert grooming services (bathing, drying, brushing, cuts, nails, ears) per client instructions.
• Operate and maintain grooming tools and equipment.
• Prioritize pet safety and comfort and report concerns to owners/store management.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and offer grooming recommendations.
