Job summary

Petsense by Tractor Supply is seeking a pet grooming associate to provide professional grooming services for dogs and cats. You will follow established grooming procedures, greet and check in pets, and maintain accurate grooming records.

The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, adherence to safety standards, and willingness to work varied hours including weekends. Tools are required or must be purchased by the applicant.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year grooming/styling pets experience.
• Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats.
• Must provide own tools (clippers, blades, shears) or be willing to purchase required tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Paragon Level 1 & 2 training provided by Petsense.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Follow and demonstrate all Petsense by Tractor Supply Mission and Values.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts with varied hours, days, nights, weekends and overtime as needed.
• Answer phone and schedule appointments.
• Assist in generating business by calling existing and new customers, scheduling appointments, follow-up calls and reminders, and verifying vaccinations.
• Book appointments and greet pets on arrival.
• Follow bathing/grooming procedures as outlined.
• Clip dog’s hair according to pattern using clippers, combs and shears.
• Combine and shape dogs’ coat; keep animals calm during grooming.
• Maintain grooming forms and complete required documentation.
