Job description

Burlingame Road Animal Hospital in Topeka, Kansas, has a new opportunity for an animal lover to join our team as a professional groomer. The ideal candidate is passionate about their work, building relationships with the pet and clients.

This is a full-time or part-time role comprised of 8-hour shifts. This position consists of a Monday-Saturday schedule.

You are responsible for all grooming services including:

• Bathing, drying, grooming/hair cutting as requested by client, styling, brush out, flea treatments, clipping/filing nails, gland expression, de-matting, ear hair removal, brushing teeth and cleaning up.
• Keeping your area clean throughout the day and at the end of the shift.
• Engaging with customers to ensure their requests are understood.
• Evaluating the condition of the pet and addressing any styling/grooming concerns.
• Must have prior knowledge and comfortability working with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
• Must have prior knowledge of breed grooming standards.
• Certificate in grooming is a plus.

Benefits and compensation:

• $12-$13 per hour.
