Role Overview

A Pet Groomer at Family Farm and Home will bathe, brush, clip, and groom pets according to company standards. Responsibilities also include answering customer calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining grooming department standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Promote Family Farm and Home’s mission and values.
2. Stay informed about promotions and advertisements.
3. Execute daily operational goals as assigned by management.
4. Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and merchandising standards.
5. Answer customer calls and schedule appointments politely and promptly.
6. Perform grooming tasks as requested.
7. Fill out invoices correctly for payments.
8. Maintain accurate customer records.
9. Ensure equipment is safe and clean, and the work area is tidy.
10. Encourage customers to sign up for company programs such as loyalty, warranties, and financing.
11. Respond to customer questions and explain policies.
12. Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

The ideal Pet Groomer will have at least 2 years of grooming experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings. They should handle pets safely and humanely, demonstrate excellent customer service, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
