Job summary

Pet Wants St. Augustine is seeking a passionate and professional Pet Groomer to join our wellness-focused team. We value quality over quantity and building lasting relationships with clients in a supportive, education-driven environment.

Joined by a team that prioritizes compassion and integrity, you will perform breed-specific grooms, educate clients on coat care and overall wellness, and maintain accurate grooming records while adhering to safety protocols in a sanitary grooming space.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional grooming experience.
• Ability to complete full grooms independently.
• Strong scissoring, clipping, bathing, and finishing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform breed-specific and pet trims according to client requests and company standards.
• Safely bathe, dry, brush, and style dogs of various breeds, sizes, and coat types.
• Conduct pre-groom wellness assessments and identify potential health concerns.
• Educate pet parents on coat care, nutrition, skin health, and overall wellness.
• Maintain accurate grooming notes and client records.
• Recommend grooming schedules and appropriate wellness products.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming environment.
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding grooming expectations and pet needs.
• Follow all safety, handling, and animal welfare protocols.

• Ability to safely restrain and handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments
