Pet Wants is seeking a dedicated Pet Groomer to join our Spring team. You will perform breed-specific trims, bathe and style dogs, and maintain client records while educating owners on coat care and wellness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional grooming experience preferred.
• Ability to complete full grooms independently.
• Strong scissoring, clipping, bathing, and finishing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform breed-specific and pet trims according to client requests and company standards.
• Safely bathe, dry, brush, and style dogs of various breeds, sizes, and coat types.
• Conduct pre-groom wellness assessments and identify potential health concerns.
• Educate pet parents on coat care, nutrition, skin health, and overall wellness.
• Maintain accurate grooming notes and client records.
• Recommend grooming schedules and appropriate wellness products.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming environment.
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding grooming expectations and pet needs.
• Follow all safety, handling, and animal welfare protocols.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and handle pets weighing up to 50 pounds (with assistance available when needed)

• Ability to safely restrain and handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments
