Job description

Chalco Hills Animal Hospital has a new opportunity for an animal lover to join our team as a professional groomer. The ideal candidate is passionate about their work and building relationships with pets and clients.

Availability

Must be available on the following days and times:

• Monday and Thursday: 8 am - 7 pm
• Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8 am - 5 pm

Responsibilities

1. Perform all grooming services, including bathing, drying, hair cutting, styling, brushing, flea treatments, nail clipping, gland expression, de-matting, ear hair removal, teeth brushing, and cleanup.
2. Maintain cleanliness of your grooming area throughout the day and at the end of your shift.
3. Engage with customers to understand their grooming requests.
4. Assess the pet's condition and address any styling or grooming concerns.
5. Have prior knowledge and comfort working with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
6. Understand breed grooming standards.
7. Certification in grooming is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage: $15.00, based on hours worked, plus 50% commission on grooms.
