Pet Wants Flemington is seeking a passionate and professional Pet Groomer to join our wellness-focused team. We believe grooming is an important part of a pet's health and well-being, and we value quality over quantity.

We are looking for a groomer who enjoys building relationships with clients and being part of a supportive, education-driven environment. You will perform breed-specific trims, safely bathe and finish dogs, educate pet parents on coat care and overall wellness, and maintain

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional grooming experience
• Ability to complete full grooms independently
• Strong scissoring, clipping, bathing, and finishing skills
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Passion for pet health, nutrition, and wellness
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, organized, and professional
• Desire to continue learning and growing within the grooming industry

Responsibilities

• Perform breed-specific and client requests according to standards
• Safely bathe, dry, brush, and style dogs of various breeds and sizes
• Conduct pre-groom wellness assessments and identify health concerns
• Educate pet parents on coat care, nutrition, skin health, and wellness
• Maintain accurate grooming notes and client records
• Recommend grooming schedules and appropriate wellness products
• Ensure a clean, organized grooming environment
• Communicate grooming expectations professionally with clients
• Follow all safety, handling, and animal welfare protocols

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Perform breed-specific and pet trims according to client requests and company standards

• Safely bathe, dry, brush, and style dogs of various breeds, sizes, and coat types

• Conduct pre-groom wellness assessments andidentifypotential health concerns

• Educate pet parents on coat care, nutrition, skin health, and overall wellness

• Maintainaccurategrooming notes and client records

• Recommend grooming schedules andappropriate wellnessproducts

• Ensure a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming environment

Experience/Qualifications

• Ability to safely restrain and handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments
