Job Summary

PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) engages with pet parents and their pets, providing positive experiences and salon services while upholding the company’s standards. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, pet health and safety, and delivering excellent customer service.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including baths, trims, nail and teeth care, and sanitary services.
• Recommend health and wellness solutions to pet parents.
• Manage customer interactions, reservations, and records.
• Promote salon sales and merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the grooming area.
• Act promptly on pet health concerns and assist other departments as needed.
• Participate in company culture and follow policies.

Qualifications

• Grooming experience or completion of PetSmart’s Salon Academy and certification.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Ability to work under pressure, flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong organizational, communication, and safety skills.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a wet environment with pet hair.
• Exposure to mechanical parts and noise; handling live animals is common.
