Job Summary

PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) engages with pet parents and their pets, providing positive experiences and salon services while upholding the company’s values. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, pet safety, and health standards.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services.
• Recommend health and wellness solutions based on pet needs.
• Ensure excellent pet parent experiences in person, over the phone, and at the register.
• Assist with reservations, appointment reminders, and client records.
• Promote salon sales and merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards for pets and grooming area.
• Respond to sick or injured pets appropriately.
• Participate in store culture and follow company policies.

Qualifications

• Prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with certification or evaluation.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong organizational, communication, and safety skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Stand, walk, climb, handle tools, and reach frequently. Lift up to 50 pounds regularly, more with team lifts.
