Job Summary

PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) engages with pet parents and their pets, providing positive experiences and top salon services while upholding the company’s values. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, pet health, and safety standards.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nails, teeth, and sanitation according to standards.
• Recommend health and wellness solutions based on pet needs.
• Ensure excellent pet parent experience both in person and over the phone.
• Manage appointments, client records, and rebooking.
• Promote salon sales and merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness and humane conditions in the grooming area.
• Respond to sick or injured pets appropriately.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
• Participate in company culture and follow policies.

Qualifications

• Prior grooming experience or completion of PetSmart’s Salon Academy training and safety certification.
• Proficiency in computer applications.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Stand, walk, climb, and handle pet-related tasks; lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Exposure to pet hair, noise, and live animals; moderate to high noise levels.
