Job Summary

PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) engages with pet parents and their pets, providing positive experiences and salon services while upholding the company's standards. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, pet health, and safety standards.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform full grooming services, including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services.
• Recommend health and wellness solutions based on pet needs.
• Ensure a positive pet parent experience, handling inquiries, reservations, and rebooking.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the grooming area.
• Respond promptly to sick or injured pets, transporting them to the vet if needed.
• Assist in other departments as required.
• Participate in company culture initiatives.

Qualifications

• Prior grooming experience or completion of PetSmart’s Salon Academy training and safety certification, or successful technical evaluation.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Stand, walk, climb ladders, and handle pets; lift up to 50 pounds regularly and more with assistance.
• Exposure to pet hair, noise, and live animals; moderate to high noise levels.
