Job summary

Mars Petcare North America seeks a scientist to lead palatability research and flavor delivery technology across dry, wet and care & treats. You will ensure high quality internal and external science provisions and support regional performance programs with platform leaders.

collaborating with cross functional teams, identifying knowledge gaps, and supervising projects to advance palatability goals while delivering actionable insights for the portfolio.

Qualifications

Minimum masters in food science/chemistry sciences or similar discipline.
Greater than 5 years’ experience in developing palatability/flavor applications for human or pet foods.
PhD in food science/chemistry sciences or similar discipline.

Responsibilities

Lead palatability research projects and programs aligned with key stakeholders.
Provide input on stability and critical success factors of products to meet Mars guidelines.
Identify gaps in knowledge and technologies in pet food palatability.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to drive palatability projects.
Own regional product performance system planning, execution and reporting.
